Language Test Equivalency Charts
A requirement of the immigration procedure is passing a language exam. Points may be given following translation to the Canadian Language Benchmarks, depending on the immigration stream.
The exams for language proficiency that are accepted include CELPIP, TEF, TCF, and IELTS. The four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking are assessed and given scores. Express entry, the skilled worker programme, and the provincial nominee programme are prerequisites for immigration to Canada through the aforementioned streams.
